On friday 26th of April, we gave a presentation to students of the Nafplion Secondary School, visiting the region of Aetoloakarnania in the context of their Environmental Program.
In year 2012, the Earthwatch Community Volunteers Fellowship has given the opportunity to 5 young Greek scientist/students to join the Ionian Dolphin Project. This pioneer initiative in Greece has been possible thanks to the support of The Chesonis Family Foundation and Earthwatch.
The IDP has received already more than 50 dolphin sighting reports!! Please, do not give up on us; while sailing keep your eyes wide-open for an unusual splash at the horizon, for that “weird” concentration of seabirds in a certain spot, or for anything else that might indicate presence of dolphins… and report back to us.
