Susanna Canuto, born in Turin, Italy, is a marine biology student at University of Ancona. She will be participating in the IDP this summer as research-assistant.
Although Susanna was born near the mountains, since her childhood she was attracted and fashinated by the sea. After her BSc. in Biological Sciences she moved to Ancona to study Marine Biology, where she will graduate in July. Susanna has a great passion for cetaceans and during her academic career, she participated in several initiatives related to the study of dolphins and whales. She has been involved in cetacean surveys from a sailing boat, as well as an observer onboard ferryboats collecting visual and acoustic data. She holds a FIAS A.R.A. Advanced Diver License. Susanna speaks Italian, English and some French.
