Today, friday 26th of April, IDP personnel gave a presentation to 30 students of the Nafplion Secondary School, visiting the region of Aetoloakarnania in the context of their Environmental Program. In addition to a presentation about the Ionian Dolphin Project activities and on the specific threats faced by local populations of dolphins in our study areas, we also presented the documentary produced in the context of the “Thalassa Project: Learn, Act, Protect/Awareness, Educational and Participation Campaign for Marine Mammals in Greece”, kindly provided by our colleagues of WWF-Greece. This was followed by a round-table discussion with students, educators and IDP staff.
This was the first educational event of this season. Talks with local educators, stakeholders and authorities are being held to design the new Education and Public Awareness initiatives for this year. Keep in eye in our blog for updates.
